I was out for shopping today and I picked up a few nail paints. Now I am on a shopping ban esp for cosmetics and nail paints. I have bought so many of them in past 6 months and barely used any. There are still brand new packed nail paints in my closet so, as a punishment of not using them and still wanting to buy, I have put a self imposed ban on buying nail paints:grin: 😀 . However, I slip in just 1 or 2 nail paints (not very expensive ones) whenever I am out(Without fail) 😛 😛 😛
Anyways, I never buy non branded nail paints. I love my nails so much that I cannot witness the poor quality nail paints peeling off like shells from my nails 😦 😦 :(. That is why although few of them have amazing colors and are priced like 2 in Rs 50 (two in a USD), I do not fall for them. So as a ritual of buying at least one nail paint whenever I am out, I was just glancing as something when a bottle of nail paint with lots of glittery silver chunks inside. I mean believe me, I am using a Maybelline (I guess the name is Glitter Silver or something) is not half chunky and glittery as this one. It reminded me of song “Shiny Disco Balls”. The price was Rs 20 and if I took 3, it would be in RS 50. I knew these nail paints are not good but I just thought of slipping two other colors along with this chunky silver. So I took a pink and a cool green.
I swatched the pink one (with a base coat of course) on my pinky as soon as I reached home. I loved the color, pigmentation and consistency so much so that I applied on all nails. I had taken this just do some art work to beautify other nail paints, you know like supporting characters in movies 😛 . But it seemed a good replacement for a lead role. Also I realized that I had not done solo color on my nails for so long. I have always had nail art. Hence I decided to keep all my nails just pink ( no nail art or dots or rhinestones) and just top coat it with the chunky silver glitter. This is my entry for the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge theme “Pink”.Its the first day of the Challenge and I am excited!!!
The results were great and my hands really looked elegant with all the nails drenched in a single color. The pink also gave a feminine look. Since I am not used to giving all attention to just one nail color, I felt overpowered and surrounded by so much pink. It made me feel like “Pinked” and so did I name it 🙂 🙂
So all in all, this is the cheapest nail paints I have ever used. Can you believe it, each one costs like Rs Rs 16.6 ??:D:D:D.It definitely gives a much richer look. Have you felt the same girls? Did a cheap underestimated nail paint ever just blow off your mind? Or do you feel weird when you apply one color on all fingers instead of a multicolored nail art?? Please let me know 🙂
PS: I applied a Sally Hansen Top Coat and the nail paint was chip free and fresh for 3 days. I got a feeling that it is not going to leave my side for long (it could have easily gone for another 3-4 days) so I removed it to try something new 😛 😛 Also, I know I have like poured in a lot of pictures but I was excited to show them all you. I was pretty impressed by the color & the glitters and I kept on clicking to capture the multi color dazzle of the glitters. But none of the clicks could get them all. So stay with me and enjoy the pictures!!
